Jazz guitarist, composer and producer Fabrizio Sotti has been a creative force on the New York City music scene since moving there from Italy over 20 years ago. Spanning the spectrums of jazz (Cassandra Wilson, Roy Hargrove, John Patitucci), hip-hop (Ghostface Killah, Q-Tip, Tupac Shakur) and pop music (Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, Zucchero), Fabrizio has a chameleon-like nature that allows him to genuinely plug himself into any musical landscape. I agree with Duke Ellington in his assessment that there are only two kinds of music, good and bad, and I choose not to discriminate by genre, says Fabrizio. I am truly a jazz musician by training and nature, but I think what sets me apart from the typical jazz guy is that I also love writing and producing in other realms and do both in a professional way, giving my all and being true to both myself and the artists I work with. Right Now, released by his label Sotti Entertainment in conjunction with Red River Entertainment, is Fabrizios first studio album to fully-embrace his diverse musical tastes, and features a stellar lineup of special guests including Zucchero, Shaggy, Res, Ice-T, M1 (of Dead Prez), Claudia Acuna, Melanie Fiona, Algebra Blesset and a rising star from Sweden, Isabella Lundgren.
