Ken Burns: Story of Cancer / Emperor of All

He’s taken on the Civil War, baseball and jazz. Now, spurred by a personal tragedy, America’s foremost documentarian is tackling cancer. According to the Associated Press, Ken Burns will collaborate with Siddhartha Mukherjee to bring the authors book The Emperor of All Maladies to PBS in spring 2015. THE STORY OF CANCER: The Emperor of All Maladies examines cancer with a cellular biologists precision, a historians perspective and a biographers passion. The series artfully weaves three different films in one: a riveting historical documentary; an engrossing and intimate verite film; and a scientific and investigative report.
