Out of Iran: My Journey through Revolutions and Life

A man without a country, but a product of many, Siavosh Khonsari was born in Iran to a privileged family. He was forced to flee his country of birth twice in the midst of two separate revolutions, first as a child and then as a middle-aged heart surgeon and father of two. This is the story of his struggles to succeed in the face of adversity. It chronicles his fall from the highest echelons of society to the depths of despair, having to rebuild his surgical career anew and protect and provide for his family. Ultimately, it is his journey through a life shaped by a myriad of challenges, influenced by many individuals and cultures, and culminating in professional and personal triumph.
