It took me almost a month to figure out how to format my first book in Microsoft Word. It was frustrating. Strange things would happen with the text and I couldn’t figure out why, or how to fix it. I watched a ton of YouTube videos to pick up a suggestion here and there from each video. Eventually, after days and weeks, I had a general idea of where to look for the problem. I then had to figure out exactly how to fix that problem. I wanted to pull my hair out. But finally, I got that first book formatted, and then the second, third, etc. Things got a little easier. I knew exactly where the trouble spots would be, and I generally knew how to fix the problem. I do now anyway. Are there still glitches? Absolutely. I’m certainly not an expert, but I can get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. I’m working on shortening that time even more. And I’m trying to shorten the time for you. No one should have to just muddle through and spend weeks trying to solve what could be a very simple problem if that person just knew what to click on next.The most you’ll have to do is figure out what type of font to use, or the trim size you want, etc. All the rest will be pretty much just a matter of you flipping to the correct section.
