Features

  • Manufactured in an ISO 9001 and 13485 certified facility in the USA
  • For research use only. Not for human or animal clinical/therapeutic use.
  • Each production lot is manufactured in our USA laboratory following stringent Good Manufacturing Practices and rigorous quality control tests under certified 14644 clean room conditions
  • 10X TAE (Tris-Acetate-EDTA) Buffer is used for running electrophoresis of nucleic acids in the gels for providing electrical conductivity and maintaining the pH. The EDTA present in the buffer inhibits metal dependent nucleases by chelating the divalent cations (Ca2+, Mg2+), and thereby protects the DNA from nucleases during the electrophoresis. The buffer may be used for both genomic and large supercoiled DNA, and also be as a gel preparation buffer.
  • 10X Tris-EDTA Buffer (TE Buffer) is a commonly used buffer solution in molecular biology, especially in procedures involving DNA, cDNA or RNA. “TE” is derived from its components: Tris, a common pH buffer, and EDTA, a molecule that chelates cations like Mg2+. The purpose of TE buffer is to solubilize DNA or RNA, while protecting it from degradation. May also be used as a washing buffer.
