(3) When there is return , through IO port respond output a high level, the duration of the high level is the time of ultrasonic from sending to returning.Test distance = (high level time * sound velocity (340m/S))/2; The ultrasonic timing diagram shows that you only need to provide a more than 10uS pulse , the module inside will send eight 40kHz cycle level and detect return . Output respond once detect return . The pulse width of respond is proportional to the measured distance.Thus calculate the distance with interval between sending and receiving respond . Formula: uS/58= cm or uS/148= inches; Or: Distance = high level time * sound velocity(340m/S)/2; Suggested test cycle is more than 60ms, in order to prevent effect of transmitting on respond .
