An analysis of the Chechen Separatist Movement

A legitimate self-determination movement or just random terrorist attacks? After decades of the desintegration of the Soviet Union, why the situation about Chechnya keeps so unknown and distant from the discussion of the main International Organizations? Why, in the twenty first century, Russia still wants to maintain the control over this land? The present work tries to search for plausible answers to such a gray zone of the International Law.
