The SV950 alloy has been adopted with a hardness of about 60% more than the traditional “art clay silver”. The heavy shine is also attractive. The purity of the silver after firing is 95%. It can be used to create work that requires strength or fine artwork, and it will expand the range of work. In addition, the surface hardness has been significantly improved compared to pure silver, so it is less likely to scratch your work after baking. SV950 is a 95% silver blend with 5% copper. It is a silver alloy similar to SV925 which is commonly used for jewelry. Like art clay silver, excessive bending may cause damage. “Art Clay Silver 950” is fired in an electric furnace. Cannot be fired on a gas stove.
