The Aulos 204AF U Design customizable soprano recorder is designed with finger disabilities in mind. It is based on the standard 205A soprano Robin model, with the same length, same cavity wall design and curved windway. This provides quality of tone and intonation. Now for the clever bit! Some finger holes are adjustable so players can fix the finger holes to the position where they can play comfortably. 6 key-hole sections can be assembled, rotated and plugged to fit fingers that are short, missing or suffer from arthritis. A person with any six usable fingers can play an entire chromatic scale from c above middle c to a two octaves higher. If seven fingers are available in any combination this extends the range by three semitones. The recorder comes in 7 pieces and includes a leatherette bag, cleaning rod, joint grease and rubber ring.
