This is a textbook on Basics of SageMath. It is written according to National Education Policy -2020 for B.A./B.Sc.(Math) students. Many books are available on this and different mathematical software and the students often find it difficult to learn them step by step. Although this book is written in a self explanatory sense. Student may understand the Mathematical concept at every stage. In first two chapters how the mathematical software SageMath works. In chapter-3, we draw the graph of the several functions and observe the effect of changes in real constants. Also, we draw the graph of circular, hyperbolic, and polynomial degrees up to five. In chapter-4, we find the solution of the trigonometric and transcendental equations by plotting their graphs. In chapter-5, we plot several parametric curves, give the label to axes, and change the color of the graph and graph style i.e. solid to dashed or dotted. In chapter-6, tracing of conics by their standard and general equations, the idea of implicit plotting of functions. In chapter-7, we discuss 3-dimensional plotting and draw the surface of the revolution of curves. In chapter-8, we study the set of real numbers and their properties, finite and infinite subsets of real numbers, sequence of real numbers, convergence and divergence sequence of real numbers, Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem of real sequences, Convergence of series of real numbers, root test, and ratio test. In chapter-9, we discuss complex numbers and their representations. In chapter-10, we discuss the matrices and their operations. We find the inverse of the matrix, rank, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, Cayley-Hamilton theorem, and lastly, we also find the solution of the system of equations by the matrix method using SageMath.
