Buzz Belknap, mastermind and graphic designer of the Westwater Books River Guide series, published the original in 1969 and has revised and updated editions now for over 50 years. Buzz’s Canyon adventures started at the age of 9 with his dad Bill Belknap, and include a variety of expeditions.
Loie Belknap Evans, co-author of this Guide and other Guides in the Westwater series, was a licensed River Guide and played a key role in family-owned river business, Fastwater Expeditions. Current president of Westwater Books, the publishing company for the guide books, Loie is a writer, editor, photographer, and river and canyon enthusiast. She loves to share her interests with family and friends through these publications.
