Made of soft latex which is harmless to all instrument finishes, this humidifier releases moisture slowly to maintain proper humidity levels to protect your instrument. Immerse the humidifier in water for 15-20 seconds and squeeze gently to remove excess water, wiping the outside of the tube with a cloth. Insert into the F hole (sound hole) of the instrument until all of the moisture-release holes are inside. It is recommended to check the humidifier daily to ensure moisture levels remain constant. It is essential to maintain a proper moisture level around your instrument if it is stored in an area prone to severe dryness and/or cold (such as a centrally heated home). The humidifier helps to prevent adverse effects such as bad string action, buzzing, cracking and warping. Easy-to-follow instructions are included and a user friendly humidity gauge is provided.
