Cursive Handwriting Workbook for Teens and Adults: A beginning cursive workbook for teens and adults who are just starting with cursive handwriting skills. This cursive handwriting work book is divided into 4 sections. Each section builds cursive skills through repetitions. Section 1: Learning to write cursive letters Section 2: Learning to write cursive words Section 3: Learning to write cursive sentences Section 4: Practice writing letters, words and sentences. Each letter includes capital and lowercase letter practice. The first letter has numbers to help you properly form the letters, and the rest are dashed letters for you to trace. The second page has blank lines with a sample letter so you can practice writing the letters on your own. The numbered dots on the big sample letters is our special way to teach proper cursive letter writing technique. Section 1: Learning to write cursive letters. Cursive writing is all about proper technique coupled with plenty of practice. Start with the big sample letter at the number 1 dot and follow the path that leads to the final numbered dot in the letter. This teaches proper technique for each cursive letter. Then, move on to tracing all of the dashed letters after you have traced the big sample letter. This helps to develop the fine motor skills needed to write cursive letters. After you have finished tracing the big sample letter and all of the dashed letters, move on to the practice page where you can practice writing the letters on your own. This step continues the development of the skill learned during the tracing exercises. Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice makes perfect. Section 2: Learning to write cursive words. Now that you have acquired the proper technique for writing cursive letters, you can move on to writing short words. This section teaches you how to join cursive letters together to form a word. First, trace the dashed words to acquire the proper technique for writing the cursive word and then practice writing it on your own, beside each word, as many times as will fit in the space beside the word. Don’t worry, this is just an introduction to joining letters to form words. There will plenty more practice space provided at the end of this workbook. Section 3: Learning to write cursive sentences. The sentences in this section are old jokes that are revealed when tracing the words. The jokes are from our childhood days. These old jokes contain words we need for beginning cursive practice. In this section you will continue to learn how to join cursive letters together to form a word by writing sentences that have short words and long words in them. First, trace all of the words in the sentence and then write the sentence in the space provided. You will write the sentence as many times as you can on the blank lines. This can be up to 13 times, depending on the length of the sentence. Writing long sentences and short sentences further develops the skills you have acquired in section 1 and 2. There will plenty more practice space provided in section 4. Section 4: Practice writing letters words and sentences. Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice makes perfect. Here are the blank lines provided for practice. In this section write a joke, a story about some event, or a fictional story of your own. If you are struggling with a particular letter, go back to section 1 and retrace that letter as many times as needed to acquire the skill for that letter.
