The author spent 12 year investigating and researching throughout the Sioux War Country in Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Arizona and Oregon. He retracted the campaign trails of three military forces of Gibbon, Custer and Crook. The book has over 170 colored photos of battle locations and 70 fully annotated topographic maps of the campaign trails. The author’s 40-year career conducting field investigation contributed the development of the Premise and evaluation of General Crook’s negligence.
