This is a small handbook for teachers of multilingual learners that includes some of the most practical and powerful teaching strategies. The handbook was made to complement professional learning opportunities, but it can also be used as a stand-alone guide for teachers and instructional coaches. Instead of a dense book that takes a lot of time to read, it is a handbook with just a few effective instructional techniques that can be used with all grade levels and content areas. Each of these strategies can also be implemented in whole or small groups. Instructional coaches and other leaders of professional development for teachers will find that these strategies can easily be shared in mini-PD sessions over time.
