DESCRIPTION: This axle and wheel setup comes with ultra thin, low inertia, DVD layer wheels that are the same diameter as a normal CD/DVD but only half the thickness. Because these wheels are only half the thickness compared to a normal CD/DVD they only have half the rotational inertia. These wheels will give your vehicle project a much greater acceleration and a much greater travel distance compared to a similar vehicle using normal CDs/DVDs. The travel distance will increase from 5-15 meters further compared to a similar vehicle using normal thickness CD/DVD wheels. Our special DVD layer package includes everything you need to add these low inertia wheels to your mousetrap car/rubber band racer / balloon powered vehicle project. INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: 1 – Kevlar high-tech string 4 – Low inertia CD layer wheels 8 – DVD/CD wheel adapters 2 – 6 inch Brass tubing axles 4 – Thrust washers 1 – Doc Fizzix’s easy-wind, snag-free propulsion system
Features
- Includes Doc Fizzix’s Ultra thin, low-inertia wheels that are half the thickness of a normal CD/DVD and have only half the rotational inertia. Less rotational inertia means your vehicle will travel further and faster when compared to a vehicle using a normal CD wheel.
- Everything you need in one package, ultra-thin low inertia wheels, hollow brass tubing axles, shock absorbing rubber CD/DVD spacers, and friction reducing thrust washers.
- Includes light-weight brass tubing axles that spin with less friction for increase speed and distance, and do not warp like wood dowels, for a smoother ride without wobble.
- Includes Doc Fizzix’s flexible rubber CD/DVD wheel spacers that are designed to act as shock absorbers to damper small bumps and imperfections in the road surface providing for a smoother ride that will increase both the speed and distance of your vehicle project.
- Perfect for mousetrap cars, rubber band racers, ballon vehicles, and/or all STEM science projects
- All our products are 100% made in the U.S.A by Doc Fizzix in Spicewood, TX
