EISCO Conductometer, 5-Prong – Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Iron – Demonstrate Thermal Expansion

Different metals conduct heat at different rates due to their atomic structure. With this demonstration students either clip temperature sensors to each metal bar, or place wax in the end of the bar to see which bar heats up the quickest when the center of the apparatus is held over and open flame. Bars are made of Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Iron. Size: 17.75″ long with 3.75″ sample bars.
