Some troubleshooting steps: 1. Make sure you are testing the B9 with its supplied AC Adaptor. Using 3rd party power supplies that are not able to supply at least 100mA at 9VDC could cause erratic behavior such as high frequency oscillations and popping noise when changing modes. 2. If the B9 does not track properly, try plugging your instrument’s output directly into the input of the B9. If tracking problems continue try using the neck pickup of your guitar and make sure your Volume and Tone knobs are set to maximum.
