Schon shares his experiences on safari in the Serengeti and in India, fishing for piranhas in the Amazon River, tent camping among penguin colonies in Antarctica, and speeding ATVs around the dunes of the Kalahari Desert. “What I love most is seeking out new corners of the world that are so exceptionally beautiful and unique that it truly feels as if you’re on another planet,” Schon says. When asked about his motivation for producing the book, Schon explained, “I have been fortunate enough to be able to visit these places, but it took 165 flights and eight years to do it.
