Our framed Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death Speech, Patrick Henry is made in the USA with a solid wood frame, glass front, black matte and wall hanger attached on back. It is printed on antique parchment paper that goes through an eleven step process to give it an aged look. Each paper is unique with characteristics such as (but not limited to), golden or yellow hues, crinkling, puckering. Outer frame measures approx. 21 3/4″ wide and 19 3/4″ tall. Product Details: On the 23rd, Patrick Henry presented a proposal to organize a volunteer company of cavalry or infantry in every Virginia county. By custom, Henry addressed himself to the Convention’s president, Peyton Randolph of Williamsburg. Henry’s words were not transcribed, but no one who heard them forgot their eloquence, or Henry’s closing words: “Give me liberty, or give me death!” The contents of this document are the testimony and recollection of George Tucker, a lawyer and a judge who was present and captured the essence of the speech. the signature is Patrick Henry’s taken from a land grant.
