Francis No Lands

Francis No Lands is a tale of a hesitantly courageous woman, tumbling through divided lands to redesign life with the help of an imaginary childhood friend, a collected tribe of misfits, and a holographic heart-turned-home. Since age 5, Francis has been living in a sprawling, dystopian compound on the east side of the country. Growing up in a limited and unloving environment for most of her life, she had no choice but to attend to the mounds of dirty instruments used in the ongoing wars. Diligent in her work, she matured into an efficient, self-controlled young woman and was certain she had earned her release into the promised land. The rest of her class had already gotten on the train of promise long ago, and she yearned to reconnect with Nolan, the only classmate she considered a real friend. Frustrated and feeling stuck, she desired a life of redemption. Her hopes were almost diminished, until a coded note fell out of the instrument she was cleaning, opening the door to freedom. Encouraged, she steps out into the split world, only to realize that most of the population no longer has an inner voice to follow. Determined to transcend the false demands of the outside world, she accepts each challenge as an earned right to regain the dream of a family and home once lost.
