This medical terminology booklet is a companion piece to my comprehensive, six-hour, ICD-10, coding for Eyecare course on the EyeCodingForum. The order of the terms is similar to the ICD-10 manual and focuses on the new or difficult medical terms found in the ICD-10 manual. In all, it contains over 100 medical terms–many of them not common to non-clinical staff.

This booklet should help non-clinical staff, who work in an Ophthalmology and Optometry office, both understand Eyecare conditions and diseases specifically as they relate to the new ICD-10 coding system that will take effect on October 1, 2014. As someone who has been teaching medical terminology and coding to non-clinical personnel for over 15 years, my goal is to provide just enough information to provide understanding of the condition without being overly technical.

As a Kindle Single, it can be read on any device, including an I-Phone, Android phone, I-Pad, any Android tablet, or a PC running Windows. You can read it anywhere, even without an Internet connection and, once you are done with it, please share it with other Eyecare professionals.

It includes numerous useful coding tips and explanations, and, for a limited time, a discount code (11%) at the end of the booklet good for about $25 off our complete, recorded, six-hour training course. In addition, the EyeCodingForum has YouTube video excerpts of several of my training presentations.

This short booklet will provide you with:
1. Eye anatomy that is critical to understanding the new ICD-10 descriptions and diseases.
2. Medical terminology descriptions for common eye diseases.
3. ICD-10 examples
