McRuffy Press Fifth Grade Language and Grammar Workbook 1: Lessons 1 to 80

The McRuffy Press Fifth Grade Language and Grammar Workbook 1 (LAG 1)provides information for independent learning as well as daily practice. Most lessons have two workbook pages. Students work with sentences and paragraphs to build a deeper understanding of the function and structure language. Workbook 1 covers lessons 1 to 80. The Fifth Grade Spelling and Vocabulary thoroughly covers nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, pronouns, conjunctions, interjections, and prepositions. With a weekly rotation of concepts, students learn and grow in their understanding of how the parts of speech work together. Many other language topics are covered such as punctuation, figures of speech, adding phrases and clauses, fact and opinions, capitalization, and many types of classification of words and ideas based on meaning or usage.
