The McRuffy Press Fifth Grade Spelling and Vocabulary Teacher’s Manual makes managing your child’s learning a breeze. It provides an overview of lessons, organizes pre-tests and post-tests, and provides and answer key for the workbook. Instruction is more independent at this level, so the manual provides less instructional material than our other levels. The Fifth Grade Spelling and Vocabulary curriculum features weekly lists of spelling words chosen to also build vocabulary. Daily lessons emphasize the spelling structure and meaning of words. Each list has some phonetic or spelling theme such as a common vowel sound syllable, suffix, or prefix.
