George has relocated to England because he’s become smitten with earthling Janet, a British tourist he scooped from doom as she hurtled over the Grand Canyon. But life on earth–and in England, no less–can be dodgy to decipher for the best of us, let alone an alien. The series combines elements of The Incredibles, Smallville with a little more levity, Fawlty Towers, and a smidge of Mork & Mindy for good measure. The result is a cracking-good ensemble comedy with lots of very silly exploits. The ever-earnest George accomplishes one mission by hiding nuclear weapons from some serious bad guys; when Janet innocently inquires where, he’s a tight-lipped superhero to the end: “I can’t say. It’s a secret.
