My Neighbor the Witch — When Cats Become Frogs

To do magic, you only really need one thing–a magic wand. However, there is one secret that only real magic-wielders know when it comes to using magic. Do you know what that is? One day, Ellie is sitting in her yard intent on turning her cat, Bingo, into a frog with the power of her toy wand and her “magic” words. By chance, the dog across the street frightens Bingo away and into the yard of Ellie’s neighbour, Mrs. Spelling. Little does Ellie know that Mrs. Spelling is a REAL witch! Ellie ends up mistaking Mrs. Spelling’s wand for her own and returns home with newfound powers. Magic is all fun and games at first but eventually, everything seems to go wrong– she suffers a tummy ache, ends up having to clean up her room just to find her toys, and turns her cat into one that has a case of the “Ribbits.” Ellie soon realizes that with great power comes great responsibility!
