Northhaerpe – How To Play Anglo-Saxon, Viking & Germanic Lyres + 80 Tunes

This book is designed for beginners through to intermediate players. It contains basic instructions on how hold, tune, pluck and strum a lyre for the first time. Then introduces a multitude of plucking and strumming techniques that can be used on these lyres with simple tunes and exercises to to practice with. Later the book introduces many kinds of interesting tunings, as well as plenty of intermediate techniques to improve your lyre playing. The book contains 80 tunes, easy through to intermediate, using a variety of tunings. All tunes and exercises are written in both Tabs and Music Notation, and the largest number of tunes are mediaeval, but also there are many later tunes and many original.
