Excerpt from Pan-American Railway: Report of the Permanent Pan-American Railway Committee to the Fourth International American Conference, at Buenos Ayres, July, 1910
Since the Argentine lines were prolonged north to the frontier of Bolivia and since the Bolivian links were completed to Uyuni, there now remains only the gap between Cuzco in Peru and Buenos Ayres of 177 miles out of a total distance of miles, allowing for the water transport across Lake Titicaca. If the railway is to be built along the shores of the lake this would require only 100 additional miles. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
