These expansions must be played with Power Grid: Recharged or Power Grid The Set 1 expansion is a new set of power plant cards that may be used in several ways: 1. use the new deck instead of the original 2. use both decks, but just one of each number, chosen randomly, 3. use the original deck, adding the larger numbered plants from the new deck, 4. customize your own power plant deck using the two decks. Power Grid: The New Power Plants – Set 2 is a complete set of power plant cards for Power Grid offering two variants to play: 1. in place of the original deck 2. paired with the original deck (to make for an unpredictable mix) The power plants were released in 2014 for the 10th anniversary of Power Grid in the standalone base game Power Grid deluxe, which used a completely different graphic style. Now you can finally supply electricity with them with Power Grid, too!
