Second Grade English Language Arts: Full Year Curriculum (Godly Learners)

Godly Learners Second Grade (Grade-2) English workbook contains a Fruit of the Spirit theme sure to delight your student`s spiritual taste buds, as your child learns English Language through values that reflect God in the lifestyle of Jesus Christ – who displayed all spiritual fruit attributes during His ministry work on earth. By learning about His ways and actions, we hope to pique your young learner`s interest to imitate these values in his or her own life. We believe that, in doing so, your student will possess the necessary attitudes and virtues to flourish in any environment. The Reading & Comprehension segment is covered in Day 1 of each week. Each unit provides a unique text style for this segment, namely, 1. Literary Text/Literary Non-fiction, 2. Literary Text/Literary Fiction, 3. Literary Text/Poetry, and 4. Literary Text/Drama, respectively. In Unit 1 Non-Fiction, learn about how Jesus demonstrated the specified Fruit of the Spirit toward the Father and toward others. In Unit 2 Fiction, through illustrated stories, see how one should display the Spirit`s Fruit to God and to others. Discover fun Poetry in Unit 3, and Fruit-specific Dramas in Unit 4. Although it is true that the Fruit of the Spirit is not a coconut or any other natural fruit, in this workbook, the Fruit of the Spirit will be depicted as such for the sake of helping the student to best understand and retain all the concepts presented within the text. As a friendly reminder, the Fruit of the Spirit are nine in all: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control (Galatians 5:22-23), but the initial seed is simply God`s love (Romans 5:5).
