The Sequential Prophet-6 Module (along with its keyboard-equipped stablemate) are Dave Smith’s tributes to his groundbreaking analog polysynth, the Prophet-5. The Module boasts all the same controls as the keyboard version, absent only pitch and mod wheels and keyboard transpose. Says Dave: “It’s not a reissue, it’s vintage with a modern twist.” Driving this 6-voice beast are two discrete VCOs plus a sub oscillator per voice. Other features are two discrete filters per voice, a studio-grade, digital dual effects section, analog stereo distortion, onboard arpeggiator and step sequencer, a knob-per-function top panel, and a new poly chain feature that lets you pair any two Sequential Prophet-6s for twelve-voice polyphony.
