These saws are made from 3/16-inch-thick milled aluminum with a red baked on power coat finish. The ultra-lightweight truss-style frame weighing just 9.1 ounces is quite rigid allowing the blade to be tensioned to a full 87 pounds minimizing blade breakage and defection and improving overall cutting accuracy. The saw uses pinned coping saw blades. Blade tension is easily adjusted with a large knurled knob and then a unique cam lever allows setting and releasing blade tension instantly with the flip of a lever. The blade rotates a full 180 degrees in 45 degree increments via spring-loaded blade clamps. Opening jaw is 6 inches, depth of cut is 6.5 inches and overall length is 16.5inches. Kit includes saw and one dozen Pegas 18 TPI pinned coping saw blades.
