The Magic Post: Book 1 (Supper at Nanny’s)

“The Magic Post” is a short story about a grandmother and her grandchildren who visit her farm. She has a vegetable garden and raises small farm animals. There is a special post in the fence between her farm and a neighbor lady’s house where they sometimes exchange goods. The grandmother calls it her magic post. One day, a bag appears on the post and the children go to fetch it. The post is taller than the kids and they must figure out how to retrieve the bag. When they ask their grandmother what makes the post magical, she teaches them a lesson in basic human values.
