The Miracles of Jesus: Finding the Extraordinary in the Everyday, Ordinary

God is a God of Miracles. He is the same yesterday as He is today. Just as Jesus Christ performed miracles when He walked the earth, He can perform miracles in your life. Healing vision, hearing, speech, a withered hand, leprosy, or paralysis is truly a miracle. Even more extraordinary is that our eyes, ears, mouth, hands, skin, muscles, nerves, and legs even exist in the first place! As a Christian physician, I started studying and writing about the miracles of Jesus following an accident that resulted in a permanent nerve injury to my lower leg. I soon realized I, and many others who seek miracles in their own life, often focus on the miracle (i.e., healing the blind) but unintentionally miss the miracle that vision, or the myriad of Jesus Christ’s miraculous creations, even exists in the first place. Each miracle of Jesus is summarized in context. The book takes you on a journey through the science of each miracle – vision, hearing, speaking, walking, the immune system, skin, the nervous system, the digestive system, etc – to help you appreciate the ordinary as extraordinary. The associated science and aspects of each miracle are spiritually applied for your profit and learning and to further reinforce the miracle of the everyday. Finally, you are invited to reflect on what you have learned to draw nearer to the Savior, the giver of all miracles. Jesus Christ is the source of all joy. As you learn of Him and invite Him into your life, you will more fully experience His miraculous power to heal, forgive, uplift, love, and strengthen.
