This curriculum takes the Bible seriously as the Word of God and our only infallible rule for faith and life. Our study aims to clarify the inspired nature of the Bible and its purpose in our lives. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) This curriculum is part of a three year curriculum cycle aimed generally at middle school and junior high students of grades 6-9, but could also be used by anyone eager to learn more about the Bible’s gospel message. *Year 1 – The Old Testament as Interpreted by the New: Adam – Abraham – Moses – David *Year 2 – The Life of Christ through the gospels: The Word – The Shepherd – The Lamb – The Light *Year 3 – My Witnesses through Acts and the Epistles: Jerusalem – Judea – Samaria – The Ends of the Earth All three years will use all of the Bible to explain and enlarge the meaning of the specific scriptures being studied. These lessons use only the Bible as a textbook. The Bible is the point of agreement among all Christians, even though its interpretation may not be. The aim of this curriculum is to familiarize the student with the biblical content as a firm foundation for the teachings, values and principles passed on to the student from their parents, tutor and church. There is no answer guide. The Bible is the answer guide. All the answers are found in the Bible except for the You Think questions which are designed for the student to think about what the Bible says, make logical and thoughtful applications, and then answer. All questions are open ended requiring the student’s writing skill in his own words, thus making an answer guide unhelpful. See the section on Test & Grading for additional ideas. This is a Tutor Assisted Curriculum for the study of the Bible by students in the grade 6-9 range. This is a very flexible system and works well in various situations . . . *Large or small classrooms, or with individual students. *Teachers with heavy teaching loads and many preparations. *Differences among student families in denominational and theological perspectives. There are three formats of this curriculum: *EBook/Kindle digital formatis primarily for preview purposes. *Teacher’s Print Edition has all materials for all four Quarters, including Test Assignments. It also includes the right to copy or reproduce any and all materials in it. *Student Print Editionscontain one quarter of the curriculum at a time. The Student Editions are workbooks with lines wherever writing is required to complete an assignment, and printing is on one side of the paper only, so pages can be removed and turned in separately &/or 3-hole punched for inclusion in a binder. These Editions do not include the Test Assignments. The Student Editions do not include rights to copy or reproduce the material in any way.
