The Sound of Music (Music from the NBC Television Event)

From executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron comes the most highly anticipated television event of the year: THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE. Country music superstar, Carrie Underwood, stars in her acting debut as Maria with Stephen Moyer (TRUE BLOOD) as Captain von Trapp in the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical which will be broadcast nationwide on NBC in a three-hour live broadcast on December 5, 2013. THE SOUND OF MUSIC album is the companion piece to this sure-to-be-spectacular event and is a studio recording that includes all of the musical numbers that will appear in the live broadcast.
