(2-CD set) Recorded live during a four week acoustic tour, this album is Lindisfarne’s first recording since the sudden death of co-founder and principal songwriter Alan Hull in 1995. The fifteen tracks show that the band’s sound was as influenced as much by the R’n’B of the States as it was their own North East roots. Slide guitar, blues harmonica and vocals mix with whistle, accordion and banjo in versions of many of the band’s classic numbers. Untapped & Acoustic not only shows that Lindisfarne are still as striking as ever in live performance, but also serves as a fitting testament to Alan’s unique songwriting talent.
