World’s Finest Pacifier

Goofus and Gallant, more commonly known as Mike Werner and Kelly King (not necessarily respectively), live in Los Angeles and Milan, Italy (respectively). They convene occasionally and at great expense (both financial and mental) to produce works such as this album. Perhaps the physical distance between these two lifelong friends helps brings about the wide range of sounds, styles, emotions, thoughts and approaches in this recording . . . or perhaps they’re both just nuts. Some of the people who have commented in writing on this recording have commented as follows: ‘trippy without turning psychedelic’ ‘turns the studio into a playground where complex composition and intricate experimentation become the toys of musical mental giants’ ‘they retrieve music from genrehood and realign it’s invigorating spark with synths and brains’ Whatever . . . G & G prefer to proudly wave their many musical influences (Zappa, They Might Be Giants, King Crimson, Pixies, Eno, etc.), put it all on tape, and let them fight it out amongst themselves.
