The Yamaha SILENT Brass practice mute fits inside the bell of your brass instrument and reduces the sound that comes out of your horn to a whisper. You can use the mute all by itself as an extremely high-quality normal practice mute, or pair it with a SILENT Brass system or an STX-2 receiver unit to hear yourself playing at full volume.
