Yamaha YRS-401 Soprano Recorder, Ecodear plastic, German fingering, key of C

Yamaha 400-series recorders are made from a special plastic called Ecodear that’s made from plants. In addition to being better for the environment than regular plastic, the Ecodear body is also a little more dense, giving these instruments a richer sound that’s more similar what you’d hear from a wooden instrument.
