This CD contains music by Taiwanese composers performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra conducted by Clyde Mitchell in a live concert at the Orpheum Theatre, April 28 and 29, 1996 as part of a Taiwanese Cultural Festival. The works included are Bamboo Flute Concerto by Ma Shui-long, with Chen Chung-Sheng, solo flute; Violin Concerto in D, Op. 50 by Tyzen Hsiao, with Cho-Liang Lin, solo violin; and Symphony No. 3 — Taiwan (world premiere) by Gordon Chin.
