H. E. Marshall was looking for a way to tell her young children about the History of England, so she wrote a history book for young readers. Intertwined are English folklore and true Tales of English History. The story spans from the early days of Britain, starting around the Roman Empire, to shortly after World War I. This book illustrated throughout with drawings by A. S. Forrest.
