This simple but elegant Optical System (Optical Bench) is designed for basic optics experiments. Students can easily make the common measurements of image and focal distance with the included lenses, pinhole configurations, and a 2-sided screen. A bright self-contained LED object allows optical measurements with the room lights on! Each acrylic component has a cut-out that allows it to securely rest on a familiar meter stick (not supplied). Works great as a demonstration or student lab. The Introductory Optical System is designed as an improvement to mounted optical benches. Students in middle school, high school, or college will now have the freedom to perform all the requisite quantitative optical investigations. The included instructional guide will provide lab activities to study concepts on “pinhole Cameras,” “images from lenses,” “the mathematical model of images,” “eyes and cameras,” “ray drawings for lenses,” and “virtual images.” Please note: Meter stick is not included.
