Ryan is more than a baseball player As a child Ryan Lavarnway’s confidence soared when he had a glove and ball in his hand. Off the field, he struggled to find where he belonged. When Team Israel called, Ryan was thrilled to play baseball for a new kind of team. Playing in the World Baseball Classic and Olympics with his teammates changed his life. Nothing would ever be the same. By embracing his Jewish identity, Ryan found where he belonged.
