This Precalculus course teaches all topics required for a Pre-AP Precalcu- lus course. It fully integrates topics for algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, discrete math- ematics and mathematical analysis. Conceptually oriented word problems involving abstract quantities and rates help prepare students for college entrance exams (PSAT/SAT/ACT exams), which is why our scope and sequence recommends completing the first 2/3 of this course before the 11th grade, when the PSAT is taken. Includes Free CLEP Professor for Precalculus, preparation for earning up to three hours of college credit by exam. While an excellent student can complete this course in one year, we recommend starting Advanced Math in 10th grade, taking three semesters to complete it and earning 1/2 credit of geometry and one cred- it of Precalculus.
