• Our board has five grooves measuring from 1/8” (.32cm) to 5/8” (1.6cm) accommodating most specimen sizes on a single board.
• Designed for spreading insect wings prior to mounting. It is ideal for allowing butterfly wings to spread and dry.
• Place a moth, butterfly, or other insect’s body in the indentation on the spreading board, and pin a thin strip of paper over each wing to hold them flat until they dry out.
• Deep groves cut into a 1-3/4”-thick (4.4cm)styrofoam block allow for perfect positioning of specimens using any pin length.
