Fragmented Youth: 7 Arts Latino Foundation’s Writers and Poets School Club Program. Springfield High School of Sci-Tech Edition

The 7 Arts Latino Foundation Writers and Poets School Club Program was born from the need to teach young people how to interact with literature and help them discover and preserve their culture as an added value that prepares them to forge a better future. This is especially true in times like the ones we live in, when it is increasingly common to see our youth isolate themselves from society due to excessive use of cell phones and video games. Through this program, fully sponsored by the Mass Cultural Council, we seek to give our youth the most incredible, positive, and transformative experience of their lives through poetry. Teaching Springfield Sci-Tech students to write poems and stories and encouraging them to embrace literature to express their feelings and emotions through “Fragmented Youth” means leaving a legacy of creativity and entrepreneurship with a printed book that will serve as an example of their creativity and achievement for future generations.
