• GIVES A MORE UNIFORM STAIN: Use to prepare wood prior to staining with a water-based wood stain. Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner ensures a more even absorption of wood stain, enhances the look of the wood when stained, and results in more even coverage with reduced blotching and spotting.
• ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: The non-toxic formulation is water-based, low odour and VOC-free, so is safe to use in all environments. It’s easy to clean up with just soap and water.
• EASY TO USE: Simply apply to pre-prepared wood using a foam brush, bristle brush or cloth. Dries within one hour.
• SUITABLE FOR ALL WOODS: Our Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner can be used on any softwoods including pine, fir and spruce. It can also be used on porous hardwoods such as birch, maple and alder to help the stain soak in and colour the wood more evenly. For interior and exterior use.
• USE WITH: After conditioning, stain the wood with our quick-drying, one-coat colour water-based Wood Stains or Exterior Wood Stains. Then improve the finish by sealing the stain in with one of our Waxes, Varnishes or Oils. These will bring out the colour of the stain further, provide additional protection and can be used to alter the finish to either matt, satin or gloss.
