Over many years his system has been updated, expanded, revised, re-worked, but yet remains the most common and used shorthand pen stenography systems used throughout the world.. The genius of the Gregg Shorthand System is that it is based and created for the English language and is based on the phonetic sounds a person uses when speaking, which makes it easy to learn and use. John Robert Gregg created a smart easy system out of lines and elliptical figures. Though over a century old, Gregg Shorthand remains an incredible shorthand tool for the English language.
