This is the first volume of the history series entitled “Gullah/Geechee: Africa’s Seeds in the Winds of the Diaspora.” This is the only book on the Gullah/Geechee history of St. Helena Island which is in the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.gullahgeecheenation.com) that was ever published. The pages take you on a journey from the arrival of Africans to the Sea Islands to the efforts to continue to keep this unique culture alive.
